Accessibility Statement
This site is built to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate by keyboard, screen reader, magnification, or voice.

Our commitment
Faro Bookkeeping is committed to making farobookkeeping.com accessible to people with disabilities. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We consider this a baseline, not a finish line.
What we have done
- Semantic structure. Real headings in a logical order, real landmarks, and real lists — so a screen reader can navigate the page rather than read it as one undifferentiated block.
- Keyboard access. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone. Focus is always visible, the mobile menu traps focus while open and returns it when closed, and a "skip to main content" link is the first thing in the tab order.
- Color contrast. Body text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio and large text meets 3:1, verified by calculation rather than by eye.
- Touch targets. Interactive controls are at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels, exceeding the WCAG 2.2 minimum of 24 by 24.
- Text sizing. The layout reflows without loss of content or function up to 200 percent zoom, and no text is locked into a fixed pixel size that prevents resizing.
- Reduced motion. If your operating system requests reduced motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off.
- High contrast mode. The site is tested against Windows High Contrast / forced-colors mode, where decorative gradients are removed and borders are made explicit.
- Forms. Every field has a visible, programmatically associated label. Errors are announced to assistive technology, described in words rather than by color alone, and linked to the field they refer to.
- No motion or flashing triggers. Nothing on this site flashes, auto-plays, or moves without your input.
- Works without JavaScript. All content and navigation function with JavaScript disabled. The contact form requires it for spam protection, and states an email alternative when it is off.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than pretend they do not exist:
- The plan comparison table on the pricing page scrolls horizontally on narrow screens. It is a properly marked-up table with row and column headers, so screen readers handle it correctly, but it does require horizontal scrolling on a small phone. A stacked alternative is under consideration.
- The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Turnstile is designed to be accessible and usually requires no interaction at all, but it is a third-party component whose behaviour we do not fully control. If it ever blocks you, email us directly and you will get the same response.
- This site has been tested by its author against automated tooling and manual keyboard and screen-reader review. It has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility professional.
Feedback, and how to reach a person
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us. We want to fix it, and your report is the fastest way that happens.
Email info@farobookkeeping.com with the page address and a short description of the problem. We will acknowledge within two business days and tell you what we plan to do and when.
If you cannot use this website to reach us, email works, and we will conduct the entire consultation and engagement by whatever channel works for you — phone, email, or in person. Access to the service is never conditioned on being able to use the website.
Technical specifications
This site relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, used together with assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack.
Assessment approach
Self-evaluation, combining automated testing with manual keyboard navigation, screen reader review, zoom and reflow testing, and programmatic verification of color contrast ratios. This statement is reviewed whenever the site changes materially, and at least annually.
